PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say eastbound traffic on Interstate 10 is being detoured onto another highway in western Arizona because of a serious wreck into two big rigs.
The wreck occurred Friday morning 77 miles (124 kilometers) east of the Arizona-California line, and the Arizona Department of Transportation says drivers should exit I-10 at U.S. 60 and take that highway through Wickenburg to reach Phoenix.

There was no immediate indication how long the closure and detour would last.
State Department of Public Safety spokesman Quentin Mehr says preliminary information indicates the wreck was a collision between two tractor-trailer rigs.

Mehr says crews extracted two people who appeared to be seriously injured.
Westbound I-10 is unaffected.
